His duties at Valor and at Dubilier & Co. are the same: to generate prospects, help with investment selection, raise capital and actively manage properties.

Dr. Medoff, the Meyer Kestnbaum Professor of Labor and Industry in the Economics Department of Harvard University is a leading authority on the operation of U.S. labor markets and a widely published author.  Dr. Medoff has advised Alan Greenspan and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Board, as well as others at the U.S.  Treasury and the Congressional Budget Office on inflation, interest rates, and the state of labor markets. He also has been an advisor to numerous Fortune 100 corporations, including IBM and General Electric, and to numerous labor unions on a variety of issues. Working with Dubilier & Co. partner James Wu, Dr. Medoff created an index that 75 percent of the time correctly predicts interest rate fluctuations on bonds. The index is used to chart the course of bonds for Atlantic Asset Management, based in Stamford, CT.

Dr. Medoff earned an M.A. (1973) and a PhD (1975) from Harvard University and a B.A. (1969) from Brown University.
